Today we went on an awesome tour of Burns Bog. We learned all about the bog ecosystem, how the bog was formed, why Burns Bog is considered the "lungs of the lower mainland", and so much more! We had a great first hand experience observing the unique bog environment and the living and non-living things that are interacting within it. Our guide, Maureen, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Many thanks to her and the Burns Bog Conservation Society, as well as our parent drivers, for making our bog field trip happen! And of course, thanks to the amazing students of Division 1 for being such thoughtful learners today and everyday.
Below are some pictures Mrs. Chapman took at Burns Bog. Students also took photographs as part of their observations and will be using these photographs in an art project next week.
